Hey Lauren, I was actually thinking about doing something Facebook related as well. I think it would be really interesting especially because it is so common to use. Good idea!

I think facebook would be a great tool because it comprises not only of people, pictures, status updates, etc, but also because youtube and other sites are involved as well and it creates an opportunity to look into more than just one area/idea.

So far, out of all your ideas/questions, I find the ones under Second Life to be most intriguing. No matter what questions you choose to ask, always remember that the most fruitful ones will be situated around questions of impact (what is the RL impact of this or that in the virtual?), significance (why is it important to know this or that question?), and binary and/or relational effects (how does the question highlight the differences/similarities between virtual/real, self/other, identity/community, etc.). Good job, though, on getting your ideas going already!

Hey guys, so we have some good questions but we need to come up with like a main one or two that really deal with all 3 of the topics. Any ideas... ?? Some questions I noticed that could cover all our topics are like...
What makes these sites ideal for online dating, loss of face to face communication, do people hide themselves and change their selves in order to meet people.. stuff on that level, obviously we need to come up with a really strong question but I noticed those topics we all kinda talked about.
